Fishing, Hiking, or Kayaking at one of our many nearby Lakes/Fish Hatchery

Enjoy picturesque trails winding through pine forests. The trails vary in difficulty, making them suitable for both beginners and seasoned hikers. Don’t forget to take in the stunning views of the lakes! The lakes are stocked with bass, rainbow trout and catfish, making it a favorite for local anglers. Whether you’re fishing from the shore or a boat, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing day on the water. Rent a kayak or canoe to explore the tranquil waters. It’s a fantastic way to connect with nature, and you might even catch a glimpse of local wildlife along the shore. Pack a picnic and enjoy the scenic views and wildlife at any of our lakes. There are plenty of picnic spots, some have tables, allowing families to relax and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Bring your binoculars and camera for an opportunity to see deer, elk, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Early mornings or late afternoons are the best times for sightings. There is also a fish hatchery at Silver Lake that kids love.

Located in Show Low, this campground offers full hookups for RVs, has no age restriction, and is pet-friendly, making it a great choice for families traveling with their furry friends. There are other RV parks, but we are partial to this one...


There is a scenic, paved trail is perfect for cyclists of all skill levels that goes from Show Low, all the way to Pinetop. With beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, it's a great way to experience the outdoors while staying active.


Birdwatching in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest

Home to diverse wildlife, this national forest is ideal for birdwatching. Bring your binoculars to spot species like the red-tailed hawk and various songbirds, especially during migration seasons. There are so many local trails just a few miles outside of town, as well as many within our community.



Horseback Riding at Local Stables

While we don't have any high end places for clothes, nor an indoor mall, you can still get your basic needs met: Walmart, Ross, JCP, many local shops as well. There are also Spas, Outdoor & Indoor gun ranges, gyms, nail salons, thrift stores, and tons of Mom & Pop places that are just fun to explore.


Dining Out

Oh my! There are just too many to list! There are many restaurants (cafes, upscale dine in places, basic American cuisine, Chinese/Thai/Steak/Mexican/Pizza/Burgers, Sports Lounges, and many more), a Brewery, Sub shops, juice bars, fast food, many coffee shops, ice cream joints, and so much more!
